Duties/Responsibilties:
- Work with Management, Designers, Directors, and Technical staff during pre-production, rehearsals and production to keep things running smoothly.
- Run all auditions on-site and in New York City when needed.
- Assisted directors in scheduling rehearsals – especially during the summer repertory season.
- Ran all acting rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and called the shows. In charge of maintaining show through notes and brush-up rehearsals as needed. In charge of maintaining and/or cutting show when necessary on tour.
- Supervised any additional stage managers that were brought in to do shows.
- Worked with designers and tech crews to ensure deadlines were met, as well as director’s expectations.
- Worked with actors outside of rehearsal as needed to help with lines. Handed out line notes.
- Utilized knowledge of Actor’s Equity rules with Equity Guest Artists. Maintained that standard even with non-union shows.
